Of my summer of Phantom
Inspired reading this is a title I’m super eager about in general, I’m intrigued by modern equivalents of our favorite OG and something about the premise really entices me. Maybe because I think a modern retelling would have to include more than just physical deformity that would be damning of Victorian times it would have to reflect modern stigma.

forgot i had this and unearthed it cleaning. dont recall how it was recommended but had gotten through the first 50 pages or so back then but started fresh as i wanted more than a general idea of 1/3 of story. i remember being somewhat bored with it though upon this reading of it i felt nothing of the sort, must have been seeking something else at time. weird.

Redundant to those familiar w/POTO, still a few nuggets of interest. Author goes out of the way to do a bit of flexing and I spent the first part of the book getting used to it. A lot of rudimentary grammatical errors, could have used another person to edit, especially if on its "third edition" like info says. Side note: author's RateMyProfessor entry made me lol, can't wait to read his thoughts on later adaptations.
