I didn’t plan to re-read the HP series again this year, but after reading re-watching the first movie, I got into the mood. So, here goes! I already know my thoughts though, so nothing will change the 5 star review nor the fact that Hermoine is my girl. (The only thing that could make this book better would be introducing Luna earlier. Luna is the GOAT.)

Story 6: When Hastings voices your first theory, you know it’s not a good day 😂 But also, Egypt 💜

Story 5: I, like Poirot, thought this was exceedingly obvious and simple. However, it’s probably one of my favorite thus far in the collection.

Story 4: Dang it. Called it, but I didn’t want to. But the ending was decent.

Story 3: I stand corrected—this might be Agatha at her most racist. 😂 Also, that end? What?
Story 4: Oh, Hastings is doing this by himself. This will be fun 😂

Story 1–possibly the most racist Agatha could be, and I feel like that’s saying a lot 😂
Story 2–clocked the murderer from the get-go. Which is not typical of an Agatha story.

Currently listening to the audiobook read by Jodi and wow is it giving me a lot to unpack, theologically speaking. Which I didn’t expect going into her autobiography, but I’m chewing it all the same. 🤣

When the book characters start to worry about what I’m worrying about, I don’t know if that’s a good sign or a bad sign…

I feel like this series is heading toward the inevitable end and I’m going to be so mad when what I assume will happen, does. 🫠
But I still hope to be pleasantly surprised.
(Which is not to say I’m not enjoying the book; I am—my heart just hurts for my favorite character.)

So this is what it feels like to be on the other side of being emotionally abused by an author 😭
I enjoy dealing this to readers, not vice versa!

Season 2, Chapter 112.

Just finished Season 2, Chapter 91, and I have FEELINGS. THIS IS SO RUDE.

You know it's a good book when I procrastinate reading it because I DON'T WANT TO BE HURT T_T

I usually threaten books to break me when I start them.
I’m not going to do that with this one. I’m too scared. X_X Please, please, don’t let what I think is going to happen, happen.
(I think death. I always think death. I thought death throughout the whole last book. I’ve thought death throughout this entire series, but starting this last one makes it feel MUCH more real.)

I told myself I'd stop tonight at chapter 2. (Actually, I told myself I'd stop once I finished Book 3, but here we are.)
Then chapter 3.
Then I said, "when I get my first Lucy/Lockwood scene."
Here we are, at Chapter 6, and everything inside of me wants to continue. But it's an early morning tomorrow...*sigh*
Who am I kidding? We all know I'm about to pick it back up.

I cannot with these children and their morbid curiosity and dark humor. 🤣🤣

This is a meatier fare and I’m going to take my sweet time reading it as a daily devotion.
