I genuinely did not see this coming. I went into this book expecting the story to be sweet and cozy, the kind that makes you smile quietly to yourself. Instead, this afternoon completely wrecked me. Reading it at the office of all places, with a jazz playlist playing in the background, trying so hard to hold back tears at my desk… I was absolutely not emotionally prepared for this.

I did not expect to be this shocked at 40%! The first book definitely wasn’t this explosive by this point. This one is already wild. Pretty sure I can finish it in two more sittings.
