I don’t know how much more I can read before saying this isn’t for me

Received the e-ARC so here we gooo

I am trying not to give up on yet another book. I love these tropes normally. But, the narrators sound the same. I am bored. And it doesn’t seem authentic

Apparently i am actually a THIRD through the book, not a quarter and nothing has happened. Leave out the filler. Overpromised and under delivered

I an almost a quarter through this book and nothing has happened. The amount of exposition and vague internal monologues are useless.

The blurb makes it seem like the ex matters but we legit don’t see these characters with anyone. Not to mention, the one part where you think “oh the ball will start rolling” is BRUSHED OFF SO FAST. NO TENSION

I feel some similarities with Ember in the Ashes and some other fantasies but that isn’t a bad thing. Tropes and genre expectations exist for a reason.

However, the writing and world building isn’t as smooth as I would want

This world building is leaving a ton out…hoping it improves

I get that Georgia is having a rough time but she kind of sucks. Suuuuper judgey too and assumes she is right about everything
