More than half way through and it has been slow, very melodramatic and nothing like how a murder mystery should read like. Author went overboard in the emotional element and totally forgot about what the main story is about!!

All the excitement with which I started this book fizzled out after the first few chapters.

The entire Elm n Ione section might have been a good novella. Was not one bit interested in their story nor were there any compelling parts to redeem it.

Hoping for the rest of the book will be able to vindicate itself
