I’ve read enough of his books I’m seeing a trend. Those dead may not in fact be head. No one who they seem to be.
Could have used more editing and less misogamy but I’m mildly interested to see if my story arcs are correct.

To go back 10 or 20 years in ones’ mind but have time around you stay the same is an interesting premise. I appreciate how the author wrote Alice’s thoughts as a 29 year old vs 39. How we all change and grow. Some for the better, some not.

The feelings and reactions Alice has to discovering her current situation with her husband was very well written. It made me remember all the same feelings early in divorce.

I always like different takes on Hamlet, my favorite play. This was interesting but very short, more of a novella actually. Interesting perspective, not the way I would have written it, but worth the short time to read.

Amazing. I saw this in a Borders bookstore years and years ago. I’m not able to get into comic novels, so I put it off.

When I wanted to read it, I found it to be too expensive at the time and the wait at the library was too long. Luckily I found both part I and II at a thrift store for under 5.00. I read them both in one night, and think of them often.

Interesting take. Waiting to make a judgement. It’s my favorite play of all time and I like different telling and perspectives.

Wow I love the story, and Jackson’s easy prose is a delight to read. I really liked her books in child raising, and of course The Lottery. This is a great and very unrepresented work.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this. It seemed so esoteric and not relatable. But once I started I find it difficult to put down. Blending of life, death, authentic reminisces, both funny and tragic. Truly gallows humor. Something I really enjoy, it’s serendipity I found this book!

Amazing book, so drawn in from the first paragraph. Don’t want it to end.

I only have a few hours left on my library loan, so I may not be able to finish it this week. So far I like this book more than YOF. The world building in Oryx and Crake has made me appreciate this book. I particularly like the one sided Craker conversations. So much like talking to my kids at 3-7.
