It took me a bit to get over the lack of " Gus" in this follow-up to Lonesome Dove, but the characters are so well-written and intriguing that I'm hooked!

I'm on the cusp of giving this 5 stars because I've already breezes through the "showbiz" part of the book. I'm excited to jump into the second half as it's the " after you achieved your lifelong dream and you're 40 part." I find Rachel very likeable and can't wait to see what happens next.

I kept wanting to like this book more than I actually did. The author really held back nothing and came off very crass at times. Her experiences with her autistic boys gave me a better appreciation of the challenges autistic people face. The chapters are not really unified, but thisbook is still a short, easy read that will make you laugh out loud.

The author clearly has a brutal sense of humor, and there are cute kid stories involved but this book is coming off a little melodramic to me at this point. With that said, I'm still going to keep on reading!

I pick this up and read a chapter here and there. It has been a great supplement to an improv class I recently started taking and clarified what I have been watching as an audience member over the years. Nonetheless, the true learning is in doing.

I have found myself stalling on my reading and feelind sad- both because of the plot and the fact that I song want this story end. I have really grown to love these characters.
