I am waiting for the book to become available via my local library’s online Kindle book collection. Unfortunately, I haven’t been reading it every day like I was trying to do. Even though I was able to renew it the first time around, someone must’ve had a hold on it this time.

The Book of Beasts would have been much better if the story had ended with the dragon returning to the book. So what if it ate people and the Manticore ate all their cats? And I didn’t like the Nurse or the Prime Minister. They’re too mean and oppressive, when they talk to the young King Lionel. Also, the description of the Hippogriff is actually that of a Pegasus. I hope the other 7 short stories are less sappy.

I’m finding a lot of different aspects from the different memoirs that I can really relate to. Unfortunately, I have yet to find anyone who is actually like me. I am starting to wonder if my gender might always be in flux; changing from day to day, or even hour to hour. My gender might even be influenced by the people around me at any given time.

I identify with page 93 so much. It’s definitely my favorite page thus far.

So far, it seems to be a fairy tale written for adults. I think soon it will become more of an adventure/fantasy. Also, a romance between the two main characters seems to be budding already.

Still unputdownable. Maybe tonight I’ll actually read less. I feel like I’ve finally reached the climactic point in the story.

Had a hard time putting it down last night. It’s literally unputdownable.
