Guys… the tea is so hot right now. I can’t believe I have to get off this train and need to stop reading. This is crazy..

As a gay man who also has a gay uncle, this book holds a special fascination for me. Experiencing this full-circle moment—looking back on the time I spent with my uncle and realizing I’ll soon step into the same role as a Guncle—is both bittersweet and deeply meaningful. Understanding it from my own perspective, adds an extra layer of connection and intrigue to this journey.

This book has taken quite the turn! The protagonist finds himself in a very absurd (but not far-fetched) scenario of a Grindr hookup gone wrong. Although this situation is anxiety inducing, the author does an amazing job at being able to convey the modern hilarity of gay dating with his use of satire.

The author’s depiction of gay culture, hookups, and failed dating scenes through David’s experiences feels so relatable to being gay in 2024. The lustful and energetic scenes with the sexy finance man Robert thus far is keeping me LOCKED IN.

Guys it’s good but it’s dragging low key. I got a kindle and am reading a different book now so we shall see if I pick her up. It’s wholesome but also super sexual— very reminiscent to a particular asbury couple I’ve been acquaintances with last summer.

Really good so far — kinda sexual and descriptive like Karen Hesses Brooklyn Bridge (a gay grown up version I sense). A perfect feral gay book about a guy moving to nyc after a breakup and from time to time seeing a passerby’s c&b.

I really enjoy the authors style of writing, can’t quite put my thumb on why her writing.

Evelyn’s first marriage using her beauty and body to get what she wants and not feeling bad about it, really resonates with me. I feel like society makes us feel like good things are given to us by the universe but in reality it’s the opportunities we take, it’s hard pill to swallow and we can’t feel bad about it.
