A Forest Gumpanian book, even before there was a Forest Gump to relate to.
This is the kind of book one should re read over time. This isn't about understatements, this is about feelings (even those uncomfortable ones), this is accept things as they are. Almost stoically.

1) I think sometimes Sophie is either talking to a wall (Because Alberto sometimes ignore her) or actually she doesn't exist.
2) most of romanticist died young for either tuberculosis or suicide, in that premise I can help thinking even if the middle ages were more like the adolescence in humans, let me say romanticism was like a crisis in young adult life.

2 ) Descartes and Spinoza were the grate scientifics aka philosophers of the seventeenth century.
