Turns out. the Cold War has its foundations that are an amalgamation of quite a few aspects, but mainly ideology. I am already astonished by the complexities of democracy and what value time plays in negotiating a secure deal. A delay of 2 years led to a depression that lasted over 45 years. However, America today has come a long way from where it originally started, and has more interests than virtues.

Roosevelt, a biography I must read for the greatness it must contain. The World War was a far more complex affair than a madmen going around with his dream of world domination. Excellent book. This book would lead to many other books for sure. A bible for life, this one.

The dawn before Hitler's doom. This book is amazing. Spending 2 odd hours daily on this one, it is serving as an ideal academic exercise.

Frightening it may sound, but the rise of Hitler in 1930s as enough lessons for the contemporary world in 2010s, only if they are willing to learn from it. Enjoyable now that we have entered the 2nd World War. The failure of League of Nations has been explained tremendously.

The failing of the League of Nations and what was the foundation of the Second World War. Civilizations fail when diplomacy fails, not when military conquests go wrong, cos even a conquest won is no assurance of a sustained victory in the global structure.

Splendid is the word. This book is no less than a Bible for aspiring diplomats. Though I don't understand the need for America's big brother attitude 22 years after this book was written, but given the context, it's still very possible along with a couple of key players in the East.

Wow. First few chapters focused on Balance of Power, and it's brilliant.
