Its a struggle. The writing style is strange. I feel like its chaotic with very little going on. Its like someone with severe exhaustion is writing the book and they cannot control their thoughts. The main character Louisa is confusing. I'm wishing the best for her yet I find extremely annoying. Maybe thats the whole point.

Really disappointing so far. Malcolm Gladwell generally writes excellent books but this is way below his usual standard. Some wild theories in here like the Germans bombed east London to eliminate the working classes.

This is an amazing book. If you liked Birdsong then you would love this. I forgotten the feeling of picking up a book and really looking forward to reading it. In fact making time to read it.
