Rereading as I haven’t read this book since 7th grade and I loved it back then. I can’t wait to read it with new eyes as an adult.

Rereading after finishing Threshing Day

I really wish I was enjoying this book but it feels so
pretentious to constantly be bombarded with literary/academic figures and theories. The average person does not know or understand what is being discussed. At this point, I don’t care about what I’m reading (the flashbacks and the MCs inner monologue) but I want to know how it ends.
