Why can’t I get into this book? So many people love it and it’s a slog for me so far. I’m really hoping it picks up steam here pretty soon.

When you’re less than 100 pages in and a good dialogue is already bringing a tear to your eye, you know this is a good pick.

It used to be dangerous for me to read JP if I wanted to get anything done, but so far this one is dragging for me. I just can’t get into it. So much Egyptian history, which I don’t care at all about. So far this is more of a history lesson than a story and I’m not loving it. Really hoping it picks up soon.

Palimpsest (FR): the idea of the past blotted out, written over by the present.

I’m already in love with this book. I love when a book does that to me: hooks me in almost immediately, by having likeable, interesting characters and a very interesting premise. It’s a talent not all authors have, so I love when I find a new author who does it to me all over again - hooks me from page one. I can already tell I’m going to have a hard time putting this one down.

I couldn’t get into this like I wanted to. Finally took it back to the library.

I've really stalled out on this book. I want to finish it, but it's starting to feel like a homework assignment I have to finish, and not something I'm interested in any longer.

I’m devouring this book. So far this is the most empowering book on money I’ve read since I found Dave Ramsey nearly 15 years ago. I love how simple she makes the concepts seem, but it doesn’t feel condescending. Already looking forward to picking it up again tomorrow.

As with all Richelle Mead books, this one has me so hooked I'm having a hard time putting it down. I was wary since I liked VA so much, but it's living up to those nicely so far.

This book is really dragging for me, I've read three other books since starting this one b/c I can't seem to make myself care how this one ends. The "one day" concept isn't pulling me in, I don't have any time to get attached to the characters, particularly since it's written in such a detached way.

This is an epic story condensed. It follows their entire life, but in one day snapshots.

It's dragging a little for me. I just can't get attached to these characters for some reason.
