Tia Williams might just be my favorite romance author. The dialogue feels very authentic especially for when this book was written , feels like I'm back in the mid 2010s

Kuang writing reminds me of demon Slayer on how they both give you a looooong life story when a character confess something 😩

Helen my favorite character

Kuang was so fascinated by logic and philosophy but they are inherently boring topics. I'm still enjoying the book but I do think it would work better on TV

But I will say her writing isn't pretentious, she just writes pretentious characters. Two different things but also to be expected with these students being at a prestigious school

His wife is exactly why you shouldn't want to be in a relationship where he leads, it gonna cost ya every time

Dnf, this book will put me in a reading slump if I keep trying to read it
