Brenda is on page 40 of 432 of The Magician King (The Magicians, #2)
Wow. So far the reviews are amazing, but I just left Robin Hobb for this and the writing level is 4 steps lower. It hurts. The sentence structure is a huge part of style, and these are short and choppy. There are more punctuation marks than a period.

Brenda is on page 30 of 378 of Grave Peril (The Dresden Files, #3)
Chapter 5, page 30. This book was available online at work until very recently, like 2 days after I started it. This is a note so should I be able to pick it up again I know where to be.

So far I'm not impressed, some 15 pages in. Now, I've just switched genre's so that may have something to do with it, but the book isn't grabbing me.

Brenda is on page 48 of 477 of Wrestling with Jesus: A candid dialogue with the Master on what Christians must know about their religion-but will never hear in church
So much fun to read, just how I would like a conversation with the subject matter to go!

So far, I'm being convinced I should continue reading it. The two main characters are complete boors, one an alcoholic who won't let go of the man who left her 2 years ago, the other a married slut who can't window shop, she must sample the wares.

Brenda is on page 761 of 1074 of R.A. Salvatore's War of the Spider Queen, Volume II: Extinction, Annihilation, Resurrection
Actually begun July 15, 2014. It's not always so easy to find books when they're grouped, or find the groupings.

Oh my gosh, I just love Pharaun! Ryld's a great guy and I'm really hoping these two last well through the series.

Brenda is on page 71 of 400 of The Rule of Nine (Paul Madriani, #11)
Is 71 pages a fair try? Cuz this just isn't doing it for me.

Just reached the AD period. Got a bit more info on some of the places I intend to visit in a couple of months, and decided to stop to look at my map and discover where Sutherland is, for there is a broch and souterrains to explore.

I'm really liking Rand. Rather hoping he survives this ordeal. Maybe actually taking on the Dark One isn't one of his better ideas; after all, darkness is a necessary balance to light..

My conclusion: Telerionhrod and the Wolf Dream are the same. The grain issue: is the rotting grain an illusion? Is that why Rand was able to point out the unopened sacks of barley were golden and hale? Or is Rand simply turning it right but doesn't want them to see it happen?
And oh what power he displays when forced to it!

Did the marriage pronouncement act as an oath or spell binding Mat and Tuon? How about the peace and acceptance that Rand has embraced? Will Gawyn and Egwene sort themselves? Galad's new position of authority that he accepts because 'it is right', not because he seeks it. Perrin learning to accept the wolf, and much much more.

Hmmm, I must have a different edition or this is the hardback I clicked, because clearly the book has more than 704 pgs, and I'm not yet done.
