Até o momento, me lembra muito The Bone Clocks, do David Mitchell. Parece que existe algo na combinação de grande habilidade para representar cenas cotidianas + plot fantástico (coisas que por si têm suas virtudes), que resulta em sentenças risíveis como: "Last night I thought I saw X. But the one I saw was Y, whom you know as Z. I tried to kill her, but A and B prevented me." (p. 310)
