Morbidly curious. Initially stopped after the first ch bc I was horrified by the way her prose drips w contempt for most humans. Currently further along then I realized this book is 800pp. I like the tension around what architecture is - art? Playing god? Public space? Phallus metaphor? Interested in the rivalry between (sociopathic) genius and sellout, though i think I’ll be disappointed it doesn’t turn gay

Recently I’ve been reading not so contemporary and longer books bc I feel like when I read hyped new fiction (often in breezy autofiction genre) I go in w urge to be contrarian n critical. It’s nice to have a relationship w books that is more optimistic and committed

i've been reading this book to fall asleep. i don't think i'll finish it. i think the examples are anything but the takeaways (technology is scary) are not that deep?
