I have fallen behind in updating books I've finished. I will meet my goal and add them.
I have made some good friends on Goodreads, but quite a few of them no longer active. our Taking away personal messages is the push to find an alternative.

I signed the petition but I did not pay to do so. Instead of sending up to $10 to Change.org, I will send it to my local food bank and toy drive.

This May 2022 I have 6 bookclub books to read. I usually have 3-4, but one club in bimonthly, and one only happens when there is a fifth Monday in a month (four in 2022). I am also trying to read some of the many books I bought in the past two years, and use my local library.

I am finding that some of the most hyped books (The Paris Apartment) and book award nominees (The Paper Palace) are very disappointing.

This is news related - last week Germany finally recognized their genocidal role in Namibia.

I only knew about this as a friend who is a Holocaust scholar published a book in 2017 - The Genocidal Gaze: From German Southwest Africa to the Third Reich by Elizabeth R. Baer. It's time for me to read this book!
