people love an underdog story until they realize they are not the underdogs

the way a stranger is inserting themselves into a company and profiting off of them is crazy. i like how she has seemed to form real friendship or positive relations with her coworkers.

it’s interesting to see what goes into specific jobs that one wouldn’t think of its complexities. i organization of this company is very interesting. i feel like having the employees vote is both good and bad. the democratization of the company is also an interesting part.

analyzing how the use of language and communication of the things that are happening can allow the average viewer or consumer to engage or deflect from the real things that are happening. it shows how powerful the language being used it and how important it is to address what is happening with the accurate language to get the reaction that something like what is happening should revoke.

great discussion on how the democratic and the republican sides of the US government display their ways of leading. how the democratic party also emphasizes how much better they are than the other side while simultaneously enacting or supporting the same ideas of that party, just not as loudly.

it is interesting to see the breakdown of US journalism and where a journalist (is supposed to) stand when reporting on atrocities based on who the victims are.

there’s something about actually learning and exploring the town/city/location that you live in. it seems like that lady has very interesting ways of making things happen.

really good introduction of what is happening and how the authors life experience has shaped his view of western liberalism and western society in general

it’s interesting seeing how such a mundane job and affect one’s life so much. see how just following a persons life can affect your own questions how the people we surround ourselves with impact our own lives.

there seems to be a theme of dealing with regret and how to handle your emotions with regret. unlike the last story the wife does seem to receive closure when she does see apollo one last time.

it’s interesting how this father wanted to go back in time to resolve his regrets with his wife with the hope of changing the timeline. he ends up resolving his regrets and might’ve gotten his hopes up with it changing the outcome and comes back maybe regretting that it hasn’t changed the timeline.

omg wandell is so cute with his cornbread muffin trying to celebrate Marjorie’s birthday.

i’m like 99% sure that he was the kid who helped her in the corn maze during that one school trip where the other kids left her.

i wonder if his death has anything to do with the fact that his parents were highly ranked business leaders.

or something since that’s what the headlines were when she looked his name up.

it’s interesting to see how all these people have these different walks of life, yet they’re all connected by their ethnicity and drive to make their families lives better than what could have been
