Although many of my reviews contain sentence fragments, I'm bothered by novels that are filled with them! ("The beauty of this world where almost everyone was gone.") Also annoyed by lack of agreement of subject and pronoun! ("...a pickup truck slumped on the remains of *their* tires.") Where are editors these days? Grammar is important, people, especially when writing about the end of humanity!

Discontinued reading this book -- just too gruesome and gritty to make good progress. Maybe another time.
