The narrator is DRIVING me nuts. The main character is IZ-zie. She pronounces it IT-zie. All I hear in my head is “itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout….”. I don’t think I can stand to finish it. Her pronunciations are deplorable. I’ve studied linguistics, editing SHOULD have caught this.

For a free book it was great! I would never have paid for it!

typical. new house. someone in attic. woman hears, man doesn’t. weird neighbor. husband gaslights. wife is “crazy”. it all works out. man apologizes this is an old story.

this book has far too many characters!!!

I usually a huge jenny colgan f, but the main character is simply too annoying.

I cannot stand Maggie. She’s a whiney you l ow what. No 7 year old runs city council meetings. Plans a Christmas parade. Comes up with the idea of a Christmas Ball. She also cooks for the whole town. This series totally jumped the shark with this book. It’s highly highly annoying and unbelievable.

I’m 5.5 hours into 18 hours of this book. I’m pretty sure I won’t finish it. This is not Jodi’s greatest works for sure. I find my wandering when listening, like listening to Charlie Browns teacher.

This book is beyond horrible.
This book is not addictive.
This book is a waste of money.

terrible. no real plot. the book is one big s*x scene. not that I don’t like a steamy novel, it’s SO DIDAPPOINTING after her last book I read. i’m trying to make it to the end cuz I paid for it, but it’s taking more than a week. save your money. skip it.

Excellent read!

Such an odd book. So many people “assumed” to be the murderer. The book is all over the place and the whole thing could have easily been wrapped up in at least half the time. It’s free on audible so if you have 10 hours of your life you don’t have any qualms with throwing away, this book is for you.

dude in this book is so unlikable. he makes it so easy not to like him. and I really don’t. don’t get how this is a christmas story.

Don’t take a drink everytime this author uses the word “guffaw” or you’ll be in a coma! it’s really too much.

i’m not a prude but the s*x scenes are incredibly juvenile the way they are written. I think the author set out her “thesaurus” and used every possible adjective/adverb for said s*x scenes. Sometimes less is more. Makes one use their imagination.

Story itself is good. S*x not so much!

this book stressing me out. the husband is a real, well, I can’t say it here. I want to smack him into next week. Daughter manipulative. Our protagonist is naive and weak. one half star so far as it’s HIGHLY PREDICTABLE. ⭐️

The narrorator of book should be fired. I “think” she’s trying to do an American accent for Lily. Anyone in their right might should know she sounds RIDICULOUS & EMBARRASSING. This should never have made it to production.

All books same, slightly different backstory. Someone always rich. men all a**holes. mean to women, take advantage of them. bad husbands. some illegal activity. women weak & spineless. one with a “history” or “secret”. there’s a drunk/drugged mom. I never want to go to Australia if this is what the people are like. Would be nice to have strong women characters. And decent men.

Absolutely terrible. Had to re-start SEVEN times. Still not sure about it. Story hard to follow, too many characters. Weak characters. Plot isn’t very engaging. At this point it’s a 1/2 star. Only reading cuz I paid for it.

Excellent. Especially for medical professionals.

SUPER ANNOYING main character. Already couldn’t stand her as I read Malibu Rising before. There is nothing redeeming about her. Not to mention all the Spanish thru the book, it would be helpful if it were translated. This is a hard book to read, I’ve been a tennis player my whole life, Carrie is everything competitive tennis isn’t.

here we are. another book where the woman is supposedly “crazy”. Man drugs woman. Man narcissist. Man gets everyone to believe him. This concept really old. Aren’t there ANY new ideas for books?!

1993. This book has not aged well at all. My first book by this author. Not a fan of her style. Struggling to get thru this book

Really bad. This author is supposedly so good and her twists so “unexpected”. Yet the book isn’t good and the story line predictable at best. To have Robin, who’s supposedly so smart to be fooled by a 12 year old is laughable. Actually the whole book is laughable. My ratting is ZERO STARS. Thought this book could not be worse than Cul de Sac, yet it was. Save ur mind, don’t read.
