Nice, but. For all the amazing technology described, I cannot understand why they send humans in these so dangerous descents, and not just fucking robots. If they can build a suit that does all these amazing stuff, why not just build a robot to do the work?

Even though it hit hard on my one and only trigger (pet suffering), I can't stop reading. Yes, it is THAT good.

Not impressed so far, and it's a pity, because even the mere mention of a therapist for a certain character would suffice. Now it's just out of touch with reality.

Oh, we're gonna have fun with this one. This was suggested by a friend who's always spot on when it comes to book suggestions (and everything else, really) and trashed by a trusted and equally spot-on reviewer. Is this a nefarious plot to get me back on the book roasting wagon or is one of them wrong? Both options are intriguing, so, let's give it a goo!

Summing up my current mindset: I want to keep reading, but if I do, then the book will eventually end and I will be closer to the end of this series.

Somebody told me that somebody told them that the series is clawing out of the endless depths of the shit pit that book#8 completely nosedived in. I really don't think so, but I'll be happy if proven wrong.

Almost a year this has been sitting untouched on my shelf. I love SiP so much it hurts. For me it came full circle. Why tell another story, especially one without you-know-who? Well, time to bite the bullet and see if Mr. Moore can work his magic one more time.

So, the friend who recommended this book (and obviously has a sadistic streak) insists I will change my mind. Challenge accepted.

This still reads like a wish fulfilment fanfic, sadly miles away from anything SVU my poor brain tried to conjure in order to, at least, enjoy the promising smut. And it is bad.
