Awful. I slogged through a third of this massive doorstop of a book before I finally realized that it was never going to improve. Way too long, pretentious, and repetitious.
Note to John Irving: please refund me the four hours that I wasted on this “novel”.

Did not finish. Very disappointing, there may be some great nuggets of truth and wisdom in this book, but he just rambles on and on without getting to the point. Too bad, because I was expecting more.
