Getting better

I bought this book because of Tiktok. This is the second book recommended to me from the BokTok which I don't like. I mean... It is good but it is overrated (or maybe because I am only at the 1/3 of it, lets see)

I bought the book because the premise resonates well with my current frustration: ditanyain mulu, "ngga mau nikah dulu sebelum lanjut S3?"

But the first chapter gives me the vibe of anak SMA yg galau mau pilih jurusan apa. Alias, sepertinya my current life stage ngga cocok sama target audience nya. But lets see

Halfway through the book and instead of feeling sad, I feel angry towards Jude! I wish he went to a therapy.

The cashier at the 3rd bookstore I went to hunt for this book: "This is a very sad book you have to prepare yourself first before reading it"
Me: "yes"

the downside of being brought up in a moderate and quite modernized javanese family is that it is hard to trully understand the core beneath your shell. That becomes the main reason I bought this book: I want to better understand the thought process behind the Javanism, which is Javanese religious tradition which has huge influence on how Indonesian practicing their religion, such as Islam. very interesting
