I'm having a bit of a difficult time with this book unfortunately. I still love Emily Henry's writing, but I think I don't like how this book keeps moving back and forth in time and it takes too long to get to WHY they broke up so I don't feel like I can root for them in the "present" timeline.

I'm not even halfway through but the confessions are already becoming a bit repetitive😬 still a fun read tho

maybe I shouldve dnfed this but I just had it in the background while doing my jigsaw puzzle (ALMOST finished oh my god the struggle) and now I'm almost done so 🤷 this book just isn't hitting for me idk

first time reading stephen king. my (dad's) copy has tiny annoying to read font so I decided to go with the audiobook (needed a new one anyway). I like stories on human experimentation (or at least the concept), but I'm not sure yet if I like this approach. A lot of telling not showing so far. I also didn't care for the start/the cop character

wanted something light after that chonker of a classic and this one is perfect to listen to while working on my jigsaw puzzle

oh man two things: this sure is a product of it's time bc the racism 😬 and the way Stephen keeps calling Mary "child" gives me the major ick. Like I could get past the age difference (about 10 years and Mary is in her 20s), but she keeps commenting on how Mary reminds her of a child and just 😬😬😬
