Loved reading this, but took me much longer as I had to often pick up put down, think, and reread several parts to try and fully understand and grasp different concepts. Even though this was written pre-2000s, there is peeks into what was coming with CRISPR.
Of course, my two favorite paragraphs are the last two as she debunks an “urban legend”!!

Didn’t find as much that resonated with me and my life as I had anticipated (being first generation Taiwanese American), but it was still a good read.

Surprisingly relevant with the war in Ukraine! I feel like reading this and understanding the historical influences (Stalin vs Trotsky) helps give a better understanding of broader political ideas and paradigms.

So good.
