The introduction lays out the goal and premise of the book: technology should be kept in its proper place in the family and the book will lay out the commitments that a family should make in order to keep tech in its proper place. This will change by season, which is why there is not a set law for tech but rather commitments that should be followed

Easy to read and good explanation of significant events, but Meacham does at times throw in personal opinion clothed as history. Overall, enjoyable and seems fair, especially in not trying to fit Jackson into modern political categories.

Careful and punchy so far. He has laid out what makes one a true reformer and the obstacles that he will encounter.
