The girls and I have been reading this out loud together for more than a week. So far, if I mess up a single word, Sydney corrects me, and both girls would rather they sing the elf or goblin songs instead of me. I’m calling it a success though there’s no way we’ll be done before they leave for summer.

I read this in one sitting. Compelling. Something I need to sit with before I can write more on it.
