im convinced my hot russian oxfordian professor assigned this as a form of torture because he thinks we his students are iredeemably stupid americans and he is right but good god this assignment is unmerciful

i understand the purpose of the stylistic choice of narrative voice but it is more agonizing to slog through than possibly any other book i have ever read

i’m lwky irritated already

this book is so so good once it gets going but i can’t over how clumsy and terrible the beginning is. one thousand years of shame on the developmental editor and their bloodline

this is kind of awful :/

i cannot believe how godawfully boring this is after annihilation

i really cannot tell if i enjoy this book or if i’m just enjoying the overlay of the movies playing in my head as i read it
