Cannot read more than a few pages at a time of this, O’Farrell captures human pain very vividly 😔

I’m struggling because the misogyny in this one is 😒 jarring 😒

Maybe I’ve grown soft with age and can no longer stomach the darker sides of fantasy but what the fuck. Is it not possible to write horror without making the violence sexual? 🤨🤨🤨 This started out really good but has gone downhill fast 😔

Super weird that the main character is 15 and all these adult women/men are lusting after him + having sex with him, this book started out pretty good but is making me uncomfortable

Was really no one going to mention how this book is unnerving enough to be a horror novel (and now I can’t sleep 🤨)

this book is stressful bc it contains at least 3 of my favourite fantasy characters (read: emotional support characters) and I think Sanderson wants to kill at least one 😤

I don’t like the way this author writes women!!! 🫤
