Prose reminds me a lot of Sanderson. I've read a lot of stories with this trope and it goes in a slightly different direction. Enjoying it so far. I don't care too much for the protagonist, Rhea, and am moreso here for the classical / Greek drama.

Wow! I haven't swallowed a book this fast in a long time. Perhaps I needed to swear off the grimdark and move back into epic fantasy with good worldbuilding. So glad I'm finally giving Sanderson a try and gave him a bit to carve out these characters. I judged too harshly, too quickly.
