The fact that the author keeps messing up the timeline is bothering me and my homegirls!!! She’ll say “I leave next week “ and then say “it was a great two weeks…” what?! Or “I don’t leave for a month” and then “the next week I was in Bali” excuse me?? I don’t know why this keeps happening but it’s very confusing.

I’m a little over 30% through the audio. He is doing a wonderful job narrating-production is top tier (hearing the music he’s referencing was a welcome surprise…I definitely thought he was gonna drop that Uncle Luke beat🤣)

He’s honest about his competitive nature-clear that he thinks a lot of himself Im enjoying the book and life lessons he’s dispersing. Definitely looking forward to the rest of it.

At about 50% the book went from “fine” to “good”, not we’re at “great”. I find that I prefer the scenes where Rut and Parker are together. There are too many instances of dragging storylines when they are not together. I want the personal stories, the lives outside of one another...but it’s too much detail and focus when all the magic happens when they’re in the same room!

I can’t get into it! I don’t care what happens, how it ends or why it happened that way. For those reasons, I cannot stay with this one.
