Did Pepper put herself in the trunk of her car? Is she Bennett's girlfriend? We know he had one but I don't think she was mention. Could the crime scene at Pepper's house be STAGED? If not what was they looking for? It couldn't be the story...Alex found that quick enough.

Chapter ten where many good and interesting things happen to Alex. I am guessing it will come crashing down . I don't think Pepper is the killer but what is her deal? Also was Pepper inspired by Rita of Harry Potter universe.

1. We are learning why great grandma killed Dylan's great uncle.
2. If they are mermaids, why did Alex's mom drowned?
3 Zofia is a great name that I will add to my book of game character names.
4. Alex is taking this much better than I. I would be asking if we had a family history of mental health issues

We all heard when your mother drowned.
Her mom drowned? The family that is supposed to be descended from a mermaid and they drowned. That seems very suspicious.
I hope Dylan is not a bad guy.

Oh this is a twist, the beginning of a love triangle? I can get behind it. And if Dylan who I have just meet is the bad guy I will throw this book. Which will be unfortunate because I am reading on my phone

How does our heroine know this fact? I don't remember this dude Tegan even being brought up. And Tegan is a dude's name?

Who is Tegan Wesley? I don't remember this character at all. Have we meet the number one suspect? Who was Randy's girlfriend? No one has mentioned her yet? Is the man we meet before his death by Nightshade really worth millions now?He seemed very much down on his luck.

I was not expecting the arrest of the aunt to happen yet.

I would be considering ending my vacation after that fight with the aunt. I would convince myself that I had overstayed my welcome and needed to go away

Jack the police man is not giving a good second impression. Manuka honey is bees pollinating tea trees according to the book. Does it smell bad? Tee tree oil smells bad. I thought tea tree was something that grew in hot exotic places.

That last line, "As peaceful as a garden" made me think of snakes. 🐍 Something bad is going to go down!

I like the heroine so far. The world building is both beautiful and intriguing. Nice details

My happy ever after with this book is if these two are ate. ugh.

If I didn't like every thing else about this book and wasn't at the 70% mark, I would have dump it because I really don't like the main characters.

I love the secondary characters in this book.

I dont know about this book. It will do amazing world building, and I like the secondary characters. The two main characters...I don't know about them. They are supposed to be a former Navy Seal and a big city Doctor and more often than not, dumb, dumb, dumb

I like Brooke's friend Danny. He is going to die.

If Brooke, the aunt is supposed to figure out there is a connection between the deaths and Kelly, I don't see how.

Whereas I knew those two would die wasn't expecting it quite so fast.

What is going on in that chapter? I think the gold digger may be over her head. I think that rich family may be extremely dangerous.

Why these two? What was their connection to the family?

No one new has died since awful old man. But there are several promising new characters that may end up the victim of a vengeful ghost sister
