This book is such a mess of plots that don’t matter. Tristan is one of the most emotionally stunted characters I’ve ever read. This straight, white man is the most oppressed person in the story, despite his gay brother being hate-crimed daily by his teammates and suffering from extreme depression that leads to attempts on his life. My god. It’s like aftg’s shitty cousin.
