Got through most of the book but it was only a 7 day loan so have to wait for it to become available again!

Got to Chapter 10 but have not picked this up in several months… DNF for now but honestly the only reason I was trying to read this is backstory for The Rings of Power tv show so not likely I will continue

Not really feeling it

Not enjoying this whatsoever

Not connecting with this story at all. Not enjoying the third person narration and big jumps in time with literally no descriptions of anything magical or really anything actually happening.

I’m just less than an hour in and they said two kids are from an Inuit reserve in Saskatchewan. Newsflash, there are no Inuit reserves in Saskatchewan! That is bothersome.

😴😴😴 snoozefest. I hope there eventually is a point to this book. None of the characters are very interesting (I do enjoy Syl and Kaladin most) and so far there isn’t much of a plot or anything tying all these random people together or any obvious goal that anyone seems to be working towards. The battle scenes are way so long 😭 I kind of just ignore them

I didn’t know it was possible to be bored reading a book about a library but here we are. I gave it until chapter 28 and nothing interesting has really occurred. The main characters have only interacted once so far and aside from Livira being that child who incessantly asks questions, neither of them have much personality and the supporting characters are just as weak. The Wikipedia summary is more exciting to read

I’m almost half way through this book and wowowow. The story has been building to this great and devastating discovery and I can’t wait to see where it’s going to go. So many big, important themes like racism, misogyny, religion, morality are a huge part of the narrative and definitely gets your emotions going and your head thinking
