Very interesting read, but I still felt mildly disappointed for no reason that I could identify after I finished. Perhaps I'm spoiled by embellished stories enough that a simply untold story seems rather flat. I do appreciate the painstaking research that Boessenecker put into this work, and would recommend it to anyone interested in american history.

Some interesting reading, but the way the story jumped around was very hard to follow. Even so, I was able to forsee the ending as proficiently as some of the characters were able to communicate with the dead.
