Karl Marx, (…) was able to conduct his raffish rebellion because he was part of the institution, drunkenly debating in private members' clubs and student fraternities and getting away with shit that would have got others beheaded.

I read this book about 8 years ago. It was a recommendation of a friend. At that point in time part 2 and 3 weren’t published yet. I loved this book! And now I remember why. It’s like reading Harry Potter for the first time.

Loving it so far. Wealthy Nigerian family living in the US during Corona. Fascinating reflections on stereotypes, subtly embedded into authentic conversations. Realistic characters.
Adichie you never disappoint.
