I love how one titular character is merely lurking in the footnotes.

Reading the prologue and he's talking about the "Net" and mentioning iPhone and BlackBerry as though they're essentially the same thing and FINALLY it dawns upon me that this book was published over a decade ago. This is not what I expected. Hopefully my brain will adjust to the bizarre and ancient terminology.
