Time to learn about what killed Satine and Arthur 🥲

So far it feels like an imitation of Cormac McCarthy. Or like the Road meets I Am Legend plus airplanes. I’m just past the halfway mark so I might power through it

Started out strong; lots more background info on all the major players in the case and more examples of Roman Polanski being a dirtbag. But am close to halfway and the pacing screeched to a halt. Debating whether or not to push through but things are getting very dull and repetitive.

Still enjoying this but every once in a while hit the usual stumbling block I come upon while reading any sort of artistic analysis not written by the artist; the assumption the author knows what the artist was feeling without any direct quote or statement from the artist.
