The chosen ones is like that. It's like veronica Roth is trying to hard to write an adult book when it's more of a ya book.

I'm going to try to force myself to read the rest of it but I can't guarantee that I'll get done with it.

With the chosen ones it doesn't grab my attention & it leaves with not really understanding the world even after 100 pages of being read. It could have been done better. It reminds me of JK Rowling first book after Harry Potter, The Causal Vacancy, & how it was geared toward adults but half way through it I just gave up because it seemed to confusing and it was like she was trying too hard to write an adult book.

Its taken me a month to get to 100 pages so far where I just finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins after like 2 days and it just came out last week.

It is taking me forever and a day to finish this book. It's like I have to force myself to read it. I'm a 100 pages into it & there are a lot.of things that I am still not getting or have questions to. I feel like after 100 pages in I would have some concept of how the world is & wouldn't be so confused by it but not this book.

Interesting so far.

Read up to chapter 6. Chapters 1-3 were for week one of criminology class and chapters 4-6 were for week two of criminology class.
