I love how ominous and ambiguous the gods in this trilogy are so much. A god of life and plenty demanding human sacrifices every few years. A god of magic who loves fucking with everyone all the time & encouraging body horror. A god of the dead actively trying to send the dead back into the world. "One day I will ask more than thanks from you." WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ALREADY TOOK HER DAUGHTER WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT

Gotta love how insane some of these characters are. What do you mean, you have five possible successors of which you have to choose one to become your heir and one to be sacrificed to your god, you dread having to choose so you just choose to sacrifice all five of them!?
