I should express that the hater reasons are NOT towards the book. This is one of my all time favourite classics. Emily Brontë I’m sorry for how everyone bastardises your writing at every turn.

this book is tailored so specifically to my interests that it's kind of unnerving (BIG thumbs up)

u ever start reading a book and it feels like someone peeled open ur brain and put all ur own thoughts and feelings onto the paper? yeah.

so far the descriptions of gender dysphoria are *not* easy to read, but the author states very plainly that this book doesn’t hold back any. and holy shit. i’ve read a lot about the trans experience over the years but nothing hits home quite so much as this, for me.

ok finally trying to read again after my brain has been soup for several months and idk if its just me but the vibes of this book went from very unsettling to reading kind of like a fanfic. which is not necessarily a bad thing but also very unexpected. 17th century new england witchcraft au anybody?
