I am confused. I reread book 1 - 4 in the last week. In the end of book 4 Beth lived with her father at home. In the beginning of book 5 (which continues exactly where book 4 stops) Beth shares a flat with her best friend. Did the author forget what she wrote a few years ago?

I am borred. Hopefully it will become better! Or I won't finish the book.
