Reread because why not. One of my first intros into darker reading.

Thisbis a reread. I remember enjoying this years ago, so I wanted to revisit it while I am stuck inside and have the time.

This is honestly disappointing. I loved the first 2 in this trilogy, but find the storyline has fallen flat.

Odd but intriguing. I do hope the pacing picks up more. Since this a buddy read with a good friend, we are breaking it down into a chapter a night. Much more digestible 😉

Okay, this one is surprisingly good. I cannot lie, you can expect some tropes and a bit of cliche romance but it works! I am enjoying the witch elements and the characters internal conflicts that may have dire consequences on the entire kingdom.

I just have to know..

I am at the halfway mark and just not feeling it. I won't label it terrible by any means, but it is not working well for me. I am sure I will finish it though.

Definitely too relatable but so much respect for the humorous approach! If living with chronic illness has taught me anything, it is that laughter is a necessity :)

I not sure if how much I relate to this makes it more enjoyable or more painful.

The writing feels seamless so far. I originally thought I could "sense" who wrote what, but as the story unfolds, it no longer feels possible. I would like to see the pace pick up a bit, but then again perhaps it suits the sleepy atmosphere? I am thoroughly enjoying the characters.

This is a reread of an older favorite. Hoping I enjoy it as much the second time around!

Shelving to read at another time. It simply is not holding me at the moment, but since it is a collection, I am sure I will pick it back up when the right mood finds me.

I am actually almost finished. I forgot to add this to my current reading list. I am sad to see it come to a close but also know that even the best things cannot last forever.

Uncertain to where this is all heading but the combination of family secrets and a dark, atmospheric setting have me intrigued for sure. There is something painfully beautiful about the protagonist.

This is the furthest I have ever made it in the series (book or film) and I am absolutely loving the growing and changing relationship dynamics! Although I cannot help but sense heartache lurks ahead.

This is my first Ann Rule read, which is surprising as she sits among the many true crime books lining my top shelf. I am appreciating the pacing and direct writing style so far. Her choice of narrative timeline seems to work well.

While it has been slow reading due to outside factors, I am absolutely captivated with this book at the moment! I find myself drawn back to the Binewski family each night in the strangest sense. The true oddities here are not of the physical kind.

I want to love this, but I am not sure that I will. The writing is a bit more simplified than I was expected for this story and at time it feels younger than YA. It also feels like certain elements will be predictable. Fingers crossed that I am wrong.

Reread time!

I am at a stalemate with this momentarily, but I believe it is because my reading mood has shifted once again. I am shelving it and will revisit again later.

Surprisingly, I am hooked! My first encounter with one of the novellas (cannot even remember the title now) did not bid well. But this is beginning to feel like a guilty pleasure ;) Maybe this is just the right time for something more simplistic and fun.
