The murder happens before page 10: good start. 24yo needs-a-place-to-lick-her-wounds MC encounters sexy out-for-a-run local on page 21, then learns he’s a deputy on page 23 (to which she reacts very oddly). By page 34 he has shown up again in uniform, invaded her space, and made really creepy, leering inappropriate remarks. If ickiness keeps up and solving doesn’t, I’ll never learn who killed the librarian.

I’m seriously sick of Dottie, and the interactions between Dottie and Emma. As other readers have said, the syntax and word choice are also odd and distracting. Once I’ve finished this installment, I think it’s “farewell Sweet Falls” for me.
