One of the main characters, Lord Arleigh, has gone from being a decent guy to a non-consenty douchebag. He doesn't take no for an answer and he just convinced someone to marry him. I liked this character but now I'm really annoyed at his conduct! Men!

I've enjoyed books by Colette before but so far this one has a lack of structure, confusion about characters (I'm never sure who is who) and is (dare I say it) a bit boring. Hopefully it picks up soon.
