... By this point I have concluded that Heinlein was quite biased in his beliefs about gender roles and sexuality. (A product of the times?) Chapters 27 & 29 make Heinlein's bigoted beliefs about homosexuality painfully obvious. Despite "tripolarity", it should be easy to grok! It is too bad that Heinlein couldn't explore & expand his own beliefs in the process of developing Mike's character.
