still really enjoying this, no complaints!!! i love jesse's chapter i love daniel and armand i love the loustat scraps im getting so far i love the short stories format idc what other people say this book rocks

reading marius' backstory rn and it's really hard bc it's making me go "okay this four star book is becoming more of a 3.5 or 3 star book the longer he drones on" sorreyyy marius i'm not interested in your backstory!! but i carry this book everywhere with me, it's my bestie my good time soldier my sweet cheese etc !!

i'm on page 398 of 550 in my edition and i know marius is gonna talk about his backstory for like 80 pages now so it's a good break to update my goodreads here lmaoo. anyway it's really interesting so far and i do love it. this book is such a huge improvement over iwtv but idk what it is about anne rice's writing... i never get the "'i need to read it all rn" feeling. idk it's good in bits.

now unto lestat's side of the story whoop whoop!! already enjoying this more than the beginning of iwtv lol

i AM loving it but i'm also still like. what an interesting book in a sort of weird, detached but enjoying way??? like. interesting. anyway armand/louis is really interesting to me rn as compared to what we see in the show bc i feel like it's closer to the book than louis/'lestat and it feels like louis lets himself be more open now than before and i finally get to hear some truths !!!

i loved sarah's letter where she described the autopsy... my freak girl

gotta say so far i don't really get the hype like. why are people fans of this book. louis has been monologuing for the last 180 pages and all he says is "btw i hate lestat. he is horrible and the devil but i'm not sure if that also makes me the devil so i have an identity crisis but i gotta schedule that in between hating lestat 24/7. also did u know i'm a slave owner im only mentioning that every second page". damn

giving me EXTREME evelyn hugo vibes if it was a little different and more southern and i'm OBSESSED!!!!!!

god i know most people said as a musical fan you're probably not gonna enjoy this which is fair but now i'm halfway through and i'm higkey bored and confused about the plot or like missings of a plot 😭 whatever at least i can say i read it later (also i miss glinda bring her back :c)
