hey my lovelies! an update - i just graduated (and therefore why I have been missing for a bit and had to put a lowk trashy web novel as my april's book bc it's fr the only thing i had the brain power to digest) BUTTTT it's summer now and ya girl shall be backk!!

lmk how yall doing and ill catch up on things

manni: reads romantasy and finds herself often disappointed by the male leads
also manni: absolutely obsessed with a nerd-science-teacher-in-space in a book that is most definitely not romance-adjacent

i can't help myself, i'm an engineer and this guy's speaking my language (and is smart! and funny! is this too much to ask for-)

you know i love an enemies to lovers, interesting so far and pretty fast and easy to read.

I went into this thinking it would be very pretentious and take itself too seriously, but honestly this is such a fun read so far? I am incredibly entertained and the physics flashbacks are real

of course i pick up yet another friends to lovers AJKWDHJ but at least its funny so far HEHE

I was telling my buddy read this too, but this is legit such a refreshing read? I mean obviously not like refreshing refreshing there's people dying yall, BUT like ive read sm thrillers where the only reason the mystery is a mystery is bc of an unreliable narrator. like TOO MANY IM TIRED OF IT. but this one??? this has hit the ground running frrrr

alright only just now have i read the synopsys and omg relationship of convenience??? enemies to lovers?? HELLO MY FAV TROPES no wonder people said they liked this more than phantasma (and i LOVED phantasma so this is saying a lot)

wow ok already off to an insane start, but what else would we expect from tjr frfr? also in one of my side quests I got to do a program at the NASA aerospace center in my state and everyone there is legit so cool, put together, and real? either way im excited to see if the impression in my head overlaps with this book at all

I dont recall if I updated you guys on this, but I held off on reading this last year (damn 2025 is last year now) bc with My Friends I ended up reading 67 books... and if yall know anything about the kids of today's generation (ahem, my sister) they greatly enjoy the 67. so here we are. further the prologue of this was iconic, and of course im starting the year with a freida HAH

here's to what I call my first official "currently reading" of 2026! and by some miracle this book perfectly fits one of the popsugar prompts this year. TJR has put put banger after banger, hopefully this one is no different.
